Please
contact us with your name, address, telephone number and
location and let us know what you want.
We will then work out the exact price and any freight and send you a
copy of the order to check and confirm with a deposit.
How much do you need for a deposit?
We require
a minimum 50% deposit to confirm orders. This covers
material costs and secures the quoted price. The balance is then
payable prior to despatch or on
collection (if picking up).
How long are quotes valid for?
As much as we'd prefer to operate on a fixed pricing structure, the
rapidly fluctuating prices of
steel, and the short notice we have of increases means that we can only
guarantee
quotes for a period of 7 days. For the same reason price lists
for our heritage style gates
are supplied as a general guide only and prices will need to be
confirmed when you place your order.
Are the gates any cheaper if I pick them
up?
Yes, by collecting your gates unpackaged you can save on delivery and
packaging
costs.
What
is your general turnaround time from when I place an order?
Our turnaround
times will vary depending on how busy we are, however we
generally take
about 4 weeks to put out your order from when it's confirmed with
your deposit. Unpainted items may be ready much sooner. Larger orders
such as stock yards take longer to
make. If there is a delay for any reason we will be in touch.
Do you accept credit cards?
No, we don't accept credit cards. Payments can be made by electronic
bank transfer, cheque or money order. Goods are released when funds
clear our account.
Do
you have agents or distributors in other states?
No we don't. Because we custom make all our products and most
of our products are custom made to fit, we find that it's best to deal
direct with our clients. It also means that we can communicate directly
with you, give you more choices such as a wider colour range, and
ensure that you're getting exactly what you want. By not
having a middle man we are also able to
keep our prices reasonable.
How will my
gates be delivered to me?
Powder coated gates are packaged in a couple of layers of
bubble
wrap to
protect the powder
coating, and are generally
delivered to your door. If the local carrier
doesn't have a van long enough or your area is remote the gate
will
be delivered to your nearest depot ready for you to collect. Couriers
are instructed to phone customers to arrange delivery so that you are
present and able to sign for it and also offer assistance unloading
large or bulky items if the driver is alone. This reduces the chances
of damage and loss of you item. We are
not responsible for damages or 'lost' items if you instruct the driver
to leave the item at premises unattended.
Do you ship your products to states other
than South Australia?
We ship our products all around Australia. If you have a
preferred
carrier that is local to you please let us know as their rates may be
cheaper if they travel direct to Adelaide.
How much is delivery?
We usually just charge for actual delivery, insurance and
packaging materials (not required on galv or plain steel items).
Charges are based on the dimension
of the item (HxWxD) and the destination. However, the heritage style
country
gates
have a set amount factored into the price to cover the packaging and
some of the freight.
Consequently any additional
freight charges are fairly minimal. For example delivery of a 12' gate
to most capital cities is $75.
